Challenge
An interactive marketing agency based out of New York, wanted to devise a new application to help showcase the full capabilities of
their technology. This application would not only highlight the use of their talking avatars but the ability to customize them with
your own character design and speech. The agency felt that the application would have more of an impact if they gave users the ability
to record their own voice.
Solution
Jaduka developers banded together with the agency to add this recorded human voice capability to application via the Jaduka API. It is
based out of the same technology as our Click-and-Connect service, which works by simply clicking on a button to initiate a call. When
the user answers the phone, they are given the option to record, edit and save a message. The saved message is then coupled with the
avatar and the application generates a talking character with lips that move in sync with the voice.
The idea is that you can make it say what ever you want to say with your own voice!
Scenario
A web surfer accesses the application via the web and decides he would like to place a character on his personal blog and FaceBook
profile. He proceeds to customize his character and inputs a humorous script by using the text-to-speech feature. After previewing
his avatar, he felt that the voice seemed a bit artificial and lacked character so he decided that recording his own voice would be
more effective. He clicks on the phone button labeled "Give it a Voice" and goes through the motion of recording his own voice. Now
we are talking!
Impact
With the adoption of voice capability via Click-and-Connect technology, the application is truly interactive - combing human voice
with animated characters. The result is an application that will certainly gain more attention by the use of real life human voices
further promoting the agency's reputation as an innovative interactive company.
